Aliso Canyon Park
Aliso Canyon Park is a popular hiking destination for Valley residents. The park has a variety of hiking and biking trails as well as a new equestrian center. It also has a variety of other amenities including a small parking area. With its close proximity to Los Angeles and Orange, it's a good place to spend a day.
The park was developed in 2010 and has received some grant money in that time. The equestrian center is the first in the Northwest San Fernando Valley. Another feature is a pedestrian bridge crossing a small creek. There is also a horse/pedestrian trail that runs along the western bank of Aliso Creek. This is a 1.3 mile route that has a 252.6 foot elevation gain.

Aliso Canyon Park is located in the Santa Susana Mountains of Los Angeles County. It is adjacent to Limekiln Canyon Park, which is also part of the same county. The park is also close to schools, colleges, and universities. Some of the amenities include a new equestrian center, a small picnic area, and a security solar lighting system.
The park is located next to a natural meadow that is home to California native plants. There is also a free-flowing creek, a pedestrian bridge, and a few split rail fences. Those looking for a more active experience can rent a bike or go mountain biking. Aside from its hiking and biking trails, Aliso Canyon Park is a great place to hang out and watch the sunset. In fact, some people will even take their dogs on a walk.
One of the most interesting features of the park is its use of recycled materials. When SoCalGas was cleaning up the site, the company found a lot of old manos and mortars. This information led to an investigation that found out how the area may have been used by Gabrielino/Chumash, an acorn processing company that operated in the area in the late 1800s.
While the park has some nice amenities, there's no way to say it's completely safe for visitors. The county, which oversees the facility, hasn't been able to set up a mandated air monitoring station. They did, however, issue a letter to health care providers warning them to be careful in their handling of patients who had been exposed to the gas.
Other than the obvious, there isn't much else to talk about. The park has about 60 acres of land, including some open space. Among its perks are a pedestrian bridge over a small creek, a few new picnic tables, and split rail fencing. Those interested in exploring the park can download a map to get their bearings.
There are a number of other features that make the park a good place to visit. Some of the other features include a small parking area, security solar lighting, a pedestrian bridge, and a new equestrian center.
Despite the impressive array of amenities, the park has only about 20 parking spaces. However, there are several places to stay near the park.
